Frey Foundation
Intentional Philanthropy initially facilitated a single strategic planning session to introduce the Frey Foundation board members to various grantmaking models for achieving impact. After the success of this meeting, board members decided to develop a clear strategy and program plan for a single focus area and brought IP in again to define and facilitate a year-long program planning process. This included creating the year-long work plan with key board decision points, facilitating work group meetings and quarterly strategy sessions with the full board, coaching executive staff, interviewing key board members, framing staff communications to the board, and ensuring buy-in from the staff, working group, and two generations of board members.
