Year I joined IP: 2025
What I bring to IP: My background in philanthropy, social impact, and grantmaking, coupled with a deep commitment and passion for addressing communities’ needs.
I joined Intentional Philanthropy (IP) after working for five years at the Puerto Rican nonprofit ConPRmetidos. There, I helped manage a $3.3 million grant fund that has created an economic impact of $40 million.
I have a double B.A. in Journalism and English and started my professional career interning at NBC Telemundo in DC and WAPA Television in Puerto Rico. While at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, I discovered my passion for philanthropy and working with underserved communities. After earning my Juris Doctor in 2019, I transitioned to the nonprofit sector, where I have collaborated with more than 60 organizations through grant funding and technical support.
What I love most about my work: I love dedicating my time to charitable work and supporting people and causes. I genuinely feel accomplished when I can contribute to finding sustainable and community-led solutions to challenges.
What I am most excited about learning right now: I look forward to learning about different grantmaking approaches and leadership skills from nonprofit and community leaders doing fantastic work. I’m also studying for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
What I do in a typical week: I divide my time between grant research, foundation operations, and strategic client support. I work with foundations and projects in NYC, Puerto Rico, and beyond.
What do I do when I’m not working: I spend time with family and friends, reading and watching TV and YouTube videos. I also enjoy cooking and exploring all the different cuisines NYC offers.
