Year I joined IP: 2024

What I bring to IP: With a passion for social change through philanthropy, I have had the privilege of working with organizations across a wide range of mission areas. Most recently, I served as the Director of Strategic Gifts at Special Olympics International where I managed a portfolio of foundations and high-net-worth clients. Pursuing my Master’s of Nonprofit Leadership & Management from the University of Southern California has strengthened my understanding of the nonprofit sector at a macro-level and further inspired me to help philanthropists achieve greater impact. I received my B.A. in Sociology from the College of William & Mary.

What I love most about my work: Through my roles in fundraising and development, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact a client can have on an organization. I love working with a client to understand what they are passionate about and what legacy they intend to leave, then connecting them to the program or project that best fits their goals. To me, philanthropy is all about relationships. If I can serve as a bridge for an exchange of resources, ideas, and actions for change – I’m thrilled!

What I am most excited about learning right now: I look forward to learning more about my clients’ processes for grantmaking. Each funder has their own approach and style, and I enjoy unpacking the goals and strategies that lead to the selection of grantees.

What I do in a typical week: My day-to-day consists of supporting clients in a range of areas, from back-office work such as grants administration, to high-level strategy setting in the board room. I love the variety and consider each day an opportunity to learn and exercise my ability to juggle many different projects at once.

What I do when I’m not working: In my free time, I can be found trying a new restaurant, taking long walks exploring my new neighborhood in Alexandria, VA, or catching up on some reading. I also love to travel, especially when it’s to go visit family and friends!
