Teisha Pope

Manager, Finance and Operations

Year I joined IP: 2022

What I bring to IP: I bring a little mix of everything. I’ve done operations, human resources, program/project management, event planning, marketing, and finance. I have a B.A. in both business administration and economics and an M.B.A. in sustainable business. I believe businesses should operate at the intersection of profit, people, and the planet and bring this viewpoint into all my work.

What I love most about my work: I love managing projects and working with numbers and I get to do both. It’s exciting getting to work with so many foundations and seeing firsthand the amazing work their philanthropy is doing.

What I am most excited about learning right now: I’m most excited about learning the entire grant cycle. Although grant management and project management are very similar, I’m excited to learn the nuances of the grant cycle like how and why grantees are chosen.

What I do in a typical week: In a typical week I will reconcile accounts, enter invoices to be paid, cut checks, and other financial tasks. On the grants side, depending on the week, I could also be writing grant summaries, assisting grantees, or preparing for a board meeting.

What I do when I’m not working: When I’m not working, I can usually be found on a ball field or inside of a gym. As a mother of 5 active kids, I love watching my kids pursue their interests including: baseball, basketball, wrestling, football, soccer, and dance/cheer.
